Nicola Ferro is a musician with a versatile spirit, who has, from a very young age,
dedicated himself to the study of classical music; yet not forgetting his affinity
towards other types of music, an indication of a strong attraction for music in
its totality. It is from classical music that the author begins this travel through
new twists and turns of sound and rhythm : “Elektrika” has its roots in this objective.
It is in this way, through the audacious rhythm and harmony characteristics of Stravinsky,
Nicola Ferro lands a tricky union between Acid Jazz with its free flowing improvisation
and intrepid harmonies and “Jungle” style with its rapid, fleeting, irregular rhythms
in a continuous pursuit with undefined metrics and incisive electronic sounds on
a core typical of a northern European culture.
